Due to the recent recession with increasing difficulties for milk producing farmers to survive, more and more are deciding to get out of milking business. Only last year more than 9000 milking cows disappeared over Sweden and within last twenty five years their number halved.So in order to save the milk industry "The Milko company" is today raising the price for locally produced milk. UN-Experts Plead for City Library Unesco's advisory body for the cultural heritage, ICOMOS, is pleading with Stockholm politicians to stop the planned demolition and extension of the city library, Stadsbiblioteket. The building is described by the body as "exceptional" and "an internationally acclaimed landmark", the daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet writes.
